Teididh (Chase) McElwaine

My work is not materially specific. What is specific is the task of merging human consciousness with innate, intuitive human awareness. Conscious and energetic awareness of ‘self’ engages relationship with environment. This emersion with environment is at the expense of any existential malcontent. The simplicity and starkness of my work offers possibility for exploration of existential relationships. The purpose of my work is to establish confirmation and acceptance of existence. I present my work within a variety of formats: photography, drawing and sculpture. It is my performance/installation work that directly engages the viewer with exploration of human awareness.
