Ruby lives in Fredericton NB. She has been an “artist at heart” for many years. Mostly self taught, she works in both oils/acrylics. Her attention to the spirit within her paintings draws you immediately. Currently she is studying under Glenn Priestley.
“Learn to watch snails” …by SARK , is her favorite quote on how to be an artist. She finds that setting personal goals helps one to grow and mature as an artist.
“Streetscapes” is her favorite subject to paint, but to which she is not limited to. New Brunswick has a lot to offer in ways of subject matter, but she is always searching to find the most interesting subjects to paint. Since studying with Glenn Priestley she has rekindled her love of painting portraits. Young children are her favorites as they are so vibrant and full of life.
She always believes her next painting will be her best painting. So one can only move forward from here on.
