Rental Space


The Unnamed Gallery (1922 Gallery) – Gallery Connexion is in the midst of renovating a second gallery space that will be available to members and the public for rent for purposes such as exhibitions, workshops, meetings, film screenings, etc. Please stay tuned for more information once renovations are complete.

Performance Area – Gallery Connexion has a performance area with a small stage. Basic PA system is provided. Capacity at half tables and chairs and half standing room is 60, standing room only is 110. The performance area can be rented by members of Gallery Connexion and by not-for-profit organizations for a reasonable rate. Corporate rates are also available. Some chairs and tables provided. The gallery is in the process of acquiring a special facility license in order to serve beer and wine during performances. The Main Gallery – Gallery Connexion runs 4 to 5 exhibitions in the main gallery each year. This space may be considered for rent for functions or performances depending on what type of programming or exhibition is taking place. Please contact the gallery with any inquiries for the main gallery space at (506) 454-1433.

Studios – As an artist-run center, Gallery Connexion is positioned to serve the artistic and larger community in a vibrant and engaging manner through excellent programming and an exciting mix of professional artist studios, small artist collectives and/or arts related businesses. It is a space where new ideas are encouraged and incubated and artistic practice and dialogue, in all its diversity, is welcomed and respected.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE
Six studio spaces are available averaging 170 square feet in size. Monthly rent is $250 for individual artists or $325 for a group of artists, or for an organization. Heat and lights are included. All studio rentals will require a yearly lease. One studio will have the maximum occupancy time of one year and can be available as specified project space.

QUALIFICATION PROCESS
Selection of studio artists and renters will be made through an advisory committee. To apply please send the following to connex@nbnet.nb.ca

1. Name and contact information
2. Artist CV or professional resume and a letter of intent, describing how you intend to use your space.
3. Portfolio of recent work – depending on your practice might take the form of up to 5 digital images, up to two videos, or a brief synopsis of programming over the last year

DEADLINE
Applications are currently being accepted on an ongoing basis. Any applications received are forwarded to the studio advisory committee and reviewed. The advisory committee may or may not request a meeting with the applicant.
