CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! GALLERY CONNEXION MEMBER’S ANNEX @ THE PLAYHOUSE

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: APRIL 1ST, 2010 by 5:00pm
For a programming year starting June 2010 until December 2011

Gallery Connexion, in partnership with the Fredericton Playhouse, is seeking to program exhibitions for its Member’s Annex Gallery. Gallery Connexion invites artists, whether current members or not, to submit a proposal for an exhibition in either one or both of the wings. Exhibition proposals will be judged by a jury of professional artists. Only work that can be mounted on the wall is eligible (use of floor space is not an option). No commission for sale of works will be charged; selected artists can enjoy this benefit by becoming a member of Gallery Connexion.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Submit proposals prior to the deadline of April 1st, 2010
  • A proposal consists of:

    • - A description of proposed work
    - 10 digital images on CD or sent via email
    - Corresponding list of images
    - Artist statement or short biography
    - Curriculum vitae
    - Please indicate your top three preferences for months in which you would like to exhibit or indicate no preference (for the year June 2010 to Dec. 2011) and whether you wish to exhibit in one or two wings.

  • Anyone may submit, even if not a member of Gallery Connexion, but if accepted must pay a one-time membership fee, which currently stands at $30/year.
  • Send physical submissions to: PO Box 696, Fredericton, NB E3B 5B4 and digital submissions to nnxgallery@gmail.com
  • If sent via mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of support materials. If one is not included, materials may be picked up at a speficied date.
  • Submissions received after 5:00pm on April 1st will not be accepted for the programming year
  • Successful artists will be notified.

    • Becoming a member of Gallery Connexion (only $30 per year) includes many benefits:
